Despite rising sales, EVs aren’t getting any cheaper. Luckily the used market has been more than kind to a number of used EV models. Many EV models that were once hot sellers with big markups just a couple of years ago have turned into great used buys

I stumbled across one of these very EVs randomly searching for cars for sale. This recent search had me looking at some of the higher priced, luxury EVs just to see how far their values have fallen. The flagship of the Mercedes EQ EV lineup, a new EQS wears a flagship pricetag as well.

Getting into a base EQS 450+ will cost you no less than $104,440 and it only goes up from there. Depreciation hasn’t been kind to vehicles with six figure price tags however. Add on two years and just under 50,000 miles and you have what is one of the cheapest Mercedes EQS’ on the market right now.

Mercedes-Benz of Los Angeles has a 2022 EQS 450+ listed for sale. It has 49,923 miles and is listed for just $46,925. Just two years ago, this car wore an MSRP of $104,490, which means that $57,565 of value has been lost in the last two years. That’s massive. Even with incentives and rebates, you won’t come close to getting a new EQS for that price. Of course none of this in any way makes this EQS a bad buy. At this price, this is a fantastic buy. You get a ton of car for the money.

In addition to that screen filled interior with its numerous luxury features like massaging seats with heating and cooling, you get an EV with more than enough power and range. A massive 108.4 kWh battery and single electric motor setup gives it 329 horsepower, 417 lb-ft of torque and 350 miles of range. This EQS is a perfect example of how you should shop around before you buy. If you’re in the market for a luxury EV.
